Via Margutta and Spanish Steps: A stay immersed in Art & Culture

The enchanting Via Margutta, refined and picturesque, was created in 1500, and has been the home to artistic workshops and atelier for centuries,  loved by Italians and foreigners alike.

Fellini loved going for walks along this street, and was actually a resident in the area of the current day Hotel Manfred (ex Teatro Alibert) and with his wife Giulietta Masina, frequently went to the cafés in the Piazza del Popolo, passing the liberty style building and the fountain of the painters.

It is the street of art galleries, antiquarian, painters and workshops, and also the street of the cinema: in one of the courtyards, on one of Rome’s seven hills called Pincio, Audrey Hepburne and Gregory Peck filmed “Roman Holiday".

Via Margutta is particularly beautiful, as well as the splendid Trinità dei Monti scenes of course Piazza di Spagna.
